A shoot with Two Eighteen at the 75th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Architecture, hospitality and retail, captured in a single pre-open window during Monterey Car Week.

The challenge

Document a full retail build at Car Week in the hours before the public arrived.

The Merchandise Pavilion presented by Ralph Lauren is the retail centerpiece of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and for the Concours’ 75th anniversary Two Eighteen built it from the ground up: a timber-and-canvas pavilion, a full Ralph Lauren shop-in-shop, and a Ralph’s Coffee terrace.

The window was the problem. Car Week turns Pebble Beach into one of the busiest event footprints in the country, and the pavilion is only camera-ready for a few hours between final install and the first guests. Exterior architecture, hospitality, merchandising and brand detail all had to be captured in one pass. Flat Monterey overcast, white tenting and glass throwing light in every direction.

Our approach

How we solved it.

01

Plan

Walked the pavilion with Two Eighteen ahead of the shoot and locked the must-have angles: hero elevations, the entry arch, the coffee terrace and every applied brand mark.

02

Capture

Exteriors first while it was quiet, then interiors: the pavilion elevation, the pergola line, the Ralph’s Coffee Citroën, and straight-on elevations of the Ralph Lauren fixtures inside.

03

Edit

Interiors exposed for tent light and graded to hold the navy-and-white palette, so exterior architecture and retail frames read as one consistent set.

04

Deliver

Full gallery cut delivered in sRGB, organized for Two Eighteen’s portfolio, press use and social crops.
