Finished Skechers showroom at the brand's Japan headquarters in Tokyo

Case study

Fifteen showrooms in Tokyo, photographed by a crew that flew in with its own gear.

Showroom photography for Steadfast Displays at Skechers’ Japan headquarters. A full fit-out of 15 showrooms, documented over a week and a half in Tokyo in January 2026.

The challenge

Fifteen rooms, one visual language, an ocean away from the studio.

Steadfast Displays delivered the full fit-out at Skechers’ Japan headquarters: 15 showrooms built to host internal meetings and executive activity rather than public foot traffic. Steadfast needed the finished work documented properly, and needed all 15 rooms to read as one body of work instead of 15 separate shoots.

We also build and run their website. See what their search program did.

Distance is what made it hard. Hiring a local crew in Tokyo would have been simpler and cheaper, but these images had to sit alongside everything else in Steadfast’s portfolio, shot on the same glass and graded the same way. So three of us flew from California with the full kit checked onto the plane. Everything the job needed had to be in those cases, because there is no rental house run when you are on the other side of the Pacific and the building is working around you.

Our approach

How we solved it.

01

Plan

Built the shot list room by room before wheels up, then confirmed access windows with Steadfast and the Skechers team on arrival.

02

Capture

Covered the install as crates came off the floor protection, then worked all 15 finished rooms at the same camera height, lens set and lighting approach.

03

Edit

Graded the full set as one, matching interior lighting to the daylight rooms so the whole floor reads as a single visual language.

04

Deliver

A complete room-by-room library Steadfast can use for portfolio, proposals and pitch work.
