Case study
Power Electronics broke ground on its Houston Campus on September 24, 2026. We covered the day with Two Eighteen: the site from the air, the marquee built on open ground, the ceremony itself, and the reception that followed.
A groundbreaking has no building in it. The subject is 53 acres of graded dirt and a marquee that exists for one morning. Everything that makes the scale of the project land is either invisible or temporary.
That puts the weight in two places: high enough to show the ground itself, and close enough on the floor to catch what only happens once. Shovels go into the earth one time. The room is only empty and perfect once, before anyone walks in.
Flew the site before guests arrived, while the ground was clean and the light was still low. The only way to put 53 acres in one frame is to leave the ground.
Shot the marquee, the exhibit wall and the staged ceremony floor before doors opened. Clean architecture, no crowd, the version that goes in the deck.
Covered the program and the groundbreaking from the floor and from the back of the room, stills and motion running together so neither had to be recreated afterwards.
Portfolio-grade stills and a finished film, plus the full original library, handed over ready for press, pitch decks and social.
Licensed aerial alongside floor coverage, so the scale of the site and the moment on stage both made it into the same set.
Stills and motion captured by the same team, so the look holds across both and nothing needs matching afterwards.
Shot to the standard Power Electronics and Two Eighteen use for press, pitch decks and client presentations.
